With the Hilde Domin Programe the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a scholarship programme for at risk Students and doctoral candidates worldwide who are denied the right to education in their country of origin. The scholarship is intended to enable them to begin or continue their studies in Germany.
Who can be nominated for the programme?
- Students and doctoral candidates worldwide (except EU/EEA/EFTA countries, UK, Andorra, Monaco and San Marino) who are at risk of being formally or de facto denied educational rights in their country of origin, due to their ethnic, sexual, gender or religious identity and/or their political or civic engagement,
- Master's degree should have been obtained no longer than two years ago,
- Only candidates who are not residing in Germany or in another EU country at the time of nomination may be proposed for nomination,
- Doctoral candidates from all disciplines can be nominated with the exception of human medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy and law. In addition, nomination by TUM is not possible in the fields of architecture and fine arts.
